Since 2005, we’ve brewed millions of pints of our traditional ales, crisp lagers, sumptuous stouts, and incredible IPAs, all of which have gone in cask, keg or bottles but never in to cans. Until now.
Back in June 2021, the younger team members at the brewery expressed their interest to brew a fruity India Pale Ale as a summer cask special.
When we finished brewing the first batch of High Hops, we knew we had something very special. A tropical IPA is completely different from the styles of beers we’ve brewed over the years, and we didn’t know how it would be received by our customers, however, we sold out of the casks within 48 hours!
From that point, we knew we had the perfect contemporary beer to become our first canned product.
Fast forward to November 2021 and we excitingly launched High Hops in to 440ml cans, becoming the latest addition to our award winning craft beer range.
The feedback from the craft beer world has been superb, with Simon from the Real Ale Craft Beer YouTube Channel noting the Tropical IPA as his favourite of the year!
